Emily Update, She is.......................

She is saying mama, dada, baba, aibo, bye bye, hi
She has 12 teeth.
She is waving hi and bye.
She just started turning around in circles, getting herself all dizzy.
She loves to dance.
She plays peek a boo.
She loves her little cookie bear.
Always wakes up with a smile on her face and in good spirits.

CheerPower Cheer Competition

Maddi competed in Tiny Jump only and Tiny Tumble Pass.

Today we received "THE LETTER" that invites Maddi to Showteam. Maddi is excited, I have mixed feelings. IF we accept she will start Jan.2 Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 4-7. It's a big commitment for a just turned 5 yr old. She loves Gymnastics. Her face lights up when she masters a new skill.
As of now She can front roll, backbend, kickover, cartwheel, roundoff, back walkover, Standing back handspring, roundoff back handspring plus 5 more.
A cartwheel dismount and roundoff dismount off high beam.
Back hip circle on bars, a pullover, 10 chin ups.
I'm sure more that I just don't know the name.
Yep I brag!! She's awesome, but she has worked for it. I'm very proud!!!

Here comes Maddi, Flippin down Flip Flop Lane

So Maddi went to a Tumbling Clinic tonight at the gym. She tried putting 2 flip flops together. Well she did that and then she did 3 and then 4 together on the tumble trampoline. At the end of class she did a Round off and 2 flip flops on the floor. Yea!!! She was so excited!!! While we were walking to the car she said " Mom now I want to go to ACF and show Zach I can do 2 flip flops. Zach is a coach at ACF and he always tells Maddi to do 2 Flip flops when she does 1. So we got to ACF and Maddi gets out on the big Floor and does her roundoff 2 flip flops. Zach was shocked!!! She was so happy that she SHOWED him!!! Maddi kept going out there and showing off by doing 4 next and then it was last pass and She did a round off and 6 flip flops. The whole gym was counting them while she did them. Afterwards she was giving everyone high 5's!!!! It was a great night. I'm so proud of her =)

CheerPower Tiny Tumble Pass Champion

We traveled to Belton for Cheer power. Maddi competed in Individuals on Saturday. She competed in Jump only and Tumble Pass. She did so good I was so proud of her. She got 1st place for her tumble pass (roundoff back handspring) and 2nd place for her jumps (toe touch, pike,hurdler).

My Little warrior

I finally took Emily in for her 1 yr checkup , a month late . She got 3 shots!!! I needed to get her in because of the chicken pox scare at cheer. She did great with the doctor and nurse. Maddi would cry when the doctor would look in her ears or listen to her heartbeat. The time had come at the end of the visit for the dreaded shots. I put her down in front of the nurse and was holding Emmy's arms. The first shot went in and Emily didn't even BLINK!!! The next shot and still nothing!!! I'm thinking this can't be my child, I screamed bloody murder when I got shots!!! So the nurse said The last one would sting, Well Emily looked the nurse right in the face like she was thinking "Thats all u got , Bring it on!!" And so the 3rd and final shot of the visit came and went. No screaming! No tears! No Nothing!!! Like she didn't want to give the nurse the satisfaction of crying. She is a warrior. I still to this day do not like getting shots. Hats off to my little 1 year old, braver than me!!

O Boy!!!

Well its a confirmed case of Chicken Pox. I better get on the phone with the doctor. So that means we will lose a girl for competition. The competition is Saturday!!! The girl is a base for Maddi!!! I hope they just cancel the comp. I need to get Emily to the Doctor for her 1 yr checkup. Tomorrow is Observation week at Gymnastics. So I will get to take some pics of Maddi on the bars and beam. She is doing so Awesome. I just love to watch her. And she loves to be watched. She is a bit of a showoff. But I guess if your are good at something why not.

Fun Times, Fun Times, NOT!!!

We had an extra cheer practice today. Trying to get those girlie's ready for Competition on Nov. 18th . A little girl might have the chicken pox! Yikes!!!! My first thought was Emily hasn't had her vaccination yet and John has never had the chicken pox! DOUBLE YIKES!!

Today was Maddi's Gymnastics recital. She did great!!! It was set up like a mini gymnastics meet. They had 4 events, A floor routine, Trampoline, Balance Beam, and Vault. Couldn't really get good pics the lighting in the gym is horrible. I got some good ones later at home.

We went to Rylee's Birthday Party today, they had a big blow up slide. Maddi was hesitant at first but she tried. On her second time she hurt her knee so that was the end of that. She had fun so I guess that's all that matters!

Hello February
I can't believe its February. Today's dance class went well. We saw pictures of the recital costumes. I totally like one of them, the other not so much. I'm sure by looking at them you will be able to tell. At least we have one that's cute , I'm so loving that pink one. I can't wait to see that routine. Not that I will be paying that much attention to it, but just staring at my pride and joy. The theme is American Bandstand. I don't know what songs they are dancing to yet, but I'm sure we will hear it through the door soon. The recital is the end of May. Maddi is so excited!!! She lives to be on stage, to be the center of attention. That's Madison for ya!!

My sweet Emily, fever has struck. Her first fever. That darn sister of hers. Off to the doctor, again.. 2 days in a row, I should rent a room!! Emily weighs 14 lbs!!! :o( Where is my little baby?

happy monday!! NOT!!

Maddi had a fever again last night. I called the doc to get appt. We went to the doctor at 4:30. Always a pleasure, not. He gave us some stuff to clear up the congestion and as of now fever free. Maddi was a little upset we missed dance class and gymnastics, but she doesn't look herself she needs to rest. Maddi is 42 1/2 inches tall. She is growing so fast!!!

Another Birthday Party

And the birthday parties keep coming!!! Maddi was invited to Carolina's party today at Texas Jumping Beans. It was a blast. I think there were at least 30 kids. I don't know how many snotty noses I saw!!! Jeez parents if your child is sick, don't send them to school, parties or activities. The party lasted for 3 hours. Of course Maddi's choice of friends for the afternoon were the usual suspects: Sarah and Joshua. She just can't get enough of Sarah and Joshua!!

Disaster Averted

We had dance class today and Maddi was putting her ballet slippers on. Then all of a sudden the strap to her ballet slipper comes off from one side. Anyone that knows Maddi knows that's reason for a meltdown. She is very particular, like certain things certain ways. She is a bit of a perfectionist. Dance class is about to start, She goes in for warm up. Meanwhile I'm running around looking for a safety pin or thread and needle. Luckily I found a safety pin. All in a day's work!!!

Dance Class Drama!!

Maddi loves her dance class so much. Sarah is her BFF. She lives across the street from us and is in her dance class. Today I was sitting on the bench waiting for class to start and here comes Jamie's crew (Mom and stroller with lil bro) Who comes and sits right next to me ( I was waiting for Lisa (Sarah's mom). She parks her stroller right next to mine. I have Emily in a baby carrier that sits in the stroller. Em was snoozing. His little brother kept trying to reach her. He has a line of snot across his cheek. eeek. I have Brownie, Madison's BBF (best bear forever) hanging on the stroller. He starts reaching for Brownie. His mom starts to grab Brownie and says can he see the bear. I'm thinking Um Yea I want to give my daughters most prized possession to your snotty cheek little boy. Puuulease. If Maddi had seen that It would have started a whole chain of unfortunate events. Not gonna happen. So I reply No, that's not a good idea. She looks at me as if I'm joking, which I was not. Ok I would never ask to see someone else stuffed animal , especially if it looks like Brownie. He use to be pretty and shiny but 2 yrs later and a gazillion washes he looks awfully ratty. Well I ended up just moving to the floor because I really didn't want her child touching Emily. Was I wrong to not share the bear? Maddi would have been devastated. Anything but Brownie. Oh well that's it for today's installment.

First dance class of 2006

Well yesterday was first day back to dance class. *fingers crossed* Maybe Jamie won't be in this class. So I'm waiting and seeing all the Moms arrive. No jamie yet, woohoo. Then right when all the girls are going into the classroom here they come. *big sigh* :( And so here we go again.
